The CBP and CBSA share a joint facility right on the boundary line that was built in 1992. It was the first of its kind. It is also the only one that is located east of the Great Lakes.

Things to Know About the Alburg – Noyan Border Crossing:

  • Alburgh is a geographical oddity; it is one of only six locations that are both not an island and not directly connected to the 48 contiguous states by land. Unlike the others, however, Alburgh is not an exclave. Several bridges connect Alburgh to other parts of the US including a bridge to Rouses Point, New York on US Route 2.
