The Northgate border crossing is a low-volume point of entry that sees less than 100 vehicles a day. It connects two unincorporated communities across a border, both of which are named Northgate – Northgate, North Dakota and Northgate, Saskatchewan.

 

Hours of Operations & Wait Times in Northgate

The Canadian port keeps seasonal hours. From the second Sunday in March to the first Saturday in November, passenger vehicles can pass through daily from 8 am to 9 pm. Commercial vehicles, however, are limited to weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm. For the remainder of the year, travelers can enter daily from 9 am to 10 pm while commercial vehicles are still limited to weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, except for holidays. The US Customs Office, on the other hand, operates from 9 am to 10 pm daily.

How to Get to the Border?
To reach the border from the US side, travel on Highway 52 until you reach Highway 8. Head north until you get to the port. To arrive at the port on the Canadian side, head south on Saskota Flyway (also called Saskatchewan Highway 9) until you reach the customs office.
