What if I need to change my password?

Changing your password is a simple matter of logging in on the Member’s page (click here). Under “account profile” on the left side of the page will be a link for changing your password.

What if I forget my username?

It is the same as the email you used when you registered on the site.

BILLING

Where is my receipt for payment?

RecordsFinder.com sends an email to you each time your payment is submitted, and each receipt has a unique number on it. Your account profile in the Member’s Area also lists your receipt number under the “My Account” tab – look under “My Orders.”

What if I want to cancel my order?

To cancel your subscription, click here. Membership fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis, and the remaining portion of the month’s subscription cannot be refunded.

What name will show up on my bank statement when I register?

Your statement will show a charge from RECORDSFINDER.COM or RECORDSFINDER.

Do you send a confirmation email?

The Support Department sends an email with information about your purchase.

How does a subscription work?

When you register and create an account, you will have access to a trial period of searches through RecordsFinder.com. To cancel before you receive monthly charges, you must contact our support staff here before the trial period expires.

Once the trial period ends, your subscription is billed monthly to the account (credit or debit) provided when you registered. Your subscription includes access to searches for individuals by name, address, phone number, email, reverse phone number, reverse Internet Protocol (IP) address; sex offender registries, criminal records, assets, and business information; birth, marriage, and death records are available, and more (availability not guaranteed).

Your monthly subscription is charged even if searches do not return desired results, records are outdated or incorrect, etc. RecordsFinder.com does not make any guarantees about the availability or reliability of search results.

You may cancel your RecordsFinder services at any time. To do so, click here. Please note that Fees are billed monthly in advance; we will not refund the unused portion of your monthly subscription.

What if my searches don’t return any information?

It’s likely to take more than one and possibly several attempts to find the information you’re looking for. Check your spelling and broaden your search criteria by doing more searches. With about a billion records in our databases, we’re very likely to find some information you need.

How do I get started?

  2. This is the member area: note the search tabs in at the top of the screen.
  3. Choose a topic to search.
  4. Using two words or fewer, fill in the search criteria, then hit “search”
  5. Results will be displayed when you click links or follow instructions that come appear on the results page. In the rare case that no results are available, try broadening your search, perhaps by using a first initial instead of first name or leave the “city” blank. For search help click here.

What are the benefits of a Recordsfinder membership?

You will have access to Recordsfinder search engines for a trial period before your account is charged the monthly membership fee. If you change your mind, you must cancel your membership prior to the first monthly charge by following instructions found here.

Will you collect information on me if I use your services?

No identifiable data is collected on users of RecordsFinder.com unless you give it to us.

We will ask for basic enrollment information such as email address and payment or billing information if you purchase access to search services through RecordsFinder.com. It will only be used to provide necessary and requested services and products. Your credit card information is not stored with RecordsFinder.com but provided to a vendor for the purpose of processing transactions.

Search information is stored for 60 days, then deleted.

If I search for an individual, will he or she find out or be notified of the search?

No, no notifications are sent. Searches are private and confidential.

RECEIVING SEARCH RESULTS

How can I get a copy of my search results?

RecordsFinder.com does not mail paper copies of search results. You may print or save search results from your computer.

How can I get a copy of a birth certificate?

Through our search engines you may find much of the information entered on birth certificates, including names, location, and dates but we do not provide birth certificates.

What if I need a marriage certificate?

You may use our search engines to find a marriage certificate data including the names, ages, dates, location and filing number of brides and grooms but we do not provide hard copies nor do we issue new marriage certificates.

How can I get a death certificate?

When you search for Death Records you may find the name, dates of birth and death, and location of death for an individual but RecordsFinder.com does not provide paper copies of such documents.

How can I get a divorce decree?

You may search for Divorce Records and find information including the names, state, filing date and document number for divorce records but RecordsFinder.com will not provide hard copies of divorce decrees.
