The Easton – River de Chute Border Crossing links the towns of Easton, Maine to Wicklow, New Brunswick. Before the 1950s, the Easton border station used to located on Curtis Road. When it was closed, the CBP moved the station to Ladner Road which is further north. Ever since this move, the CBP has used a small mobile trailer as its station. It was only in 2012 when the agency was able to finally build a new facility that has state-of-the-art remote video surveillance and extensive site lighting. The CBP also paved the road and widened it to accommodate two lanes of incoming and outgoing traffic.

 

Hours of Operations & Wait Times in Easton River De Chute

The Easton port of entry is open to all vehicles daily from 8 am to 4 pm (EST). The River de Chute border station, on the other hand, is open to passenger vehicles every day from 9 am to 5 pm and commercial vehicles on weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm, except for holidays. Please take note that the gates are blocked whenever the border stations are closed.

How to Get to the Border?
From Easton Center in Maine, drive along Ladner Road until you reach the border crossing. To get to the border crossing from New Brunswick, head north along NB Route 560 then turn left on Smugglers Road. Drive on until you reach the River de Chute port of entry.
