Jamieson Line border station
The Jamieson Line border crossing was a port of entry that used to connect the communities of Burke, New York and Athelstan, Quebec. This crossing was rarely used, with fewer than 6 vehicles and an average of 12 travelers passing through each day. Commercial vehicles did not use this port. In 2011, the Canadian port was closed, and the border station was demolished. The US port remained open for three more years before closing down in August 2014. The nearest border crossing to the east is the Chateaugay – Herdman port which is open 24/7. To the west, the next port of entry is the one located at Trout River.
