How Long do Felony or Misdemeanor Charges Last?
Maryland allows charges that never resulted in a conviction to be expunged with a petition to the court. Some felony and misdemeanor convictions are also eligible to be expunged. You have to wait three years however, before applying to have your record expunged. If you were arrested but never charged with any crime, your record will be automatically expunged within 60 days. When you apply to have other convictions expunged, it will cost you $30, and some other restrictions and eligibility requirements apply.
