The Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services handles all criminal records checks for the state. They have separate forms for those requesting a criminal check for adoption, government agencies or general requests. The cost for a state level plus FBI criminal record is $30. A state only criminal record costs $18. These record checks are done via fingerprinting, and that part costs another $20. You may also use a third-party online service to search for someone’s criminal history and get a full report.
