Major Craig Rowe began his career in corrections as a Deputy at the Washington County Detention Center on November 18, 1996. He was assigned to the “booking squad” in May of 1998 and was promoted to Deputy First Class in December 1999. He was promoted to Corporal in April 2003 and was assigned to the newly created position of Female Housing Unit Supervisor. Rowe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in February 2009 and was assigned to the daylight shift as the Shift Commander. In June 2012 he was promoted to the rank of Captain and assigned as the Operations Captain / Chief of Security. He was again promoted on August 2, 2013 to the rank of Major and became the Warden of the Washington County Detention Center..
