Tulsa Transitional Center ("Tulsa Center") is a 390-bed halfway house located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tulsa Center, (formerly the Avalon Correctional Center) is accredited by the American Correctional Association and provides contract services to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Tulsa Center opened in July 1995 and has been expanded several times to its current capacity of 390 beds. Tulsa Center provides comprehensive halfway house services including, employment services, job readiness and development, life skills, and case management and a 30-day/100-hour cognitive-based transitional program for residents.
