The Northwestern Minnesota Juvenile Center exists to provide positive intervention within the Juvenile Justice System for juveniles, family units, and communities. The Center offers legitimate attentive pathways to adulthood for juveniles through equal access to services that are least intrusive, co-educational, culturally sensitive and consistent with the highest professional standards. Located on 80 acres of beautifully wooded land on the outskirts of Bemidji, NMJC has been serving greater Minnesota since 1973. The Center is licensed through the MN Department of Corrections and incorporates three distinct units within the building as well as community based satellite homes. The Non-Secure Detention Unit, Residential Treatment Unit, and Satellite Homes are Title IV-E eligible.
