Bossier Parish Minimum Security Facility
Work programs involving minimum-security, non-violent offenders have been effective and have been expanded to include a work-release program. This program reduces recidivism by easing the transition back into regular society for offenders who have served their time. Presently, four outside work crews are in our parish, working on streets, highways and public properties. These programs have added to the quality of life in Bossier parish. For example, in one year, prisoners cleaned 791 miles of roadway, picking up 38,363 bags of trash, saving Bossier Parish $204,972.20.
