Phoenix, AZ Maricopa County Towers Jail View
The Towers Jail is a 360-cell facility built in 1982. The jail is composed of six tower units with four pods in each tower. Each pod contains housing areas with general-purpose day rooms, and bathroom/shower areas. The jail also contains a staffed and equipped medical clinic, a non-denominational chapel for religious services, and classrooms for educational, drug rehabilitation, and life-skills programs. There are also, three outside areas for recreation. Currently the jail houses approximatlly 180 inmates who are either involved in the Alpha Drug Program, The Chain Gang, or who, for some particular reason, are not able to serve their sentences in the Tents Jail.
