Ashtabula County
Ashtabula County is located in the northeastern area of Ohio. It was created on May 1, 1811 and derives its name from ''the Lenape language phrase ashte-pihële''. The county has 97,574 inhabitants and a land mass measuring 1,368 square miles. Ashtabula is the largest county in Ohio and has its county seat in Jefferson.
