Bland, VA Correctional Center View
Bland Correctional Center is a mixed custody facility that opened in 1946. It is considered a level 2 and level 1 facility that has a housing capacity of 652 male inmates. Offenders are housed in four buildings with a total of 14 housing units within them, and three modular housing units that were put in place in 1990. An additional segregation unit at Bland Correctional Center houses inmates with behavioral or security issues. In addition to housing multiple security levels, Bland Correctional Center serves as an intake and classification facility for inmates transferred from jails.
