Sioux Falls, SD Jameson Annex View
Jameson Annex is a mixed custody facility and part of South Dakota State Penitentiary. It is comprised of four units, three of which, units A, B and D, are located inside the secure perimeter and considered maximum custody. C Unit is a minimum custody housing unit that sits just outside of the perimeter fence. Many of the inmate's in C Unit perform supportive jobs at Jameson Annex including custodial and kitchen work. Jameson Annex is also responsible for the intake and classification of new inmates who are just entering into the South Dakota Department of Corrections. The current capacity of Jameson Annex and C unit stands around 745 inmates. Offenders at Jameson Annex have access to literacy classes, adult basic education and GED courses. Substance abuse treatment, mental health, medical and dental services are all provided to inmate's at this facility.
