Rifle, CO Correctional Center View
The Rifle Correctional Center is a 192 bed Level I minimum security facility, which is located on a 75 acre site in rural Garfield County in Western Colorado. The facility originally opened in the 1960’s as a satellite labor camp and has evolved over time to its present format. Our current programming continues to maintain a community-based labor service, but has expanded to include secondary education, vocational training, and a reintegration program intended to reduce recidivism. This facility is also base to a certified firefighting team which have responded to wildfires all over the state. Take Two Programming for incarcerated individuals to provide them an opportunity to work for employers earning a prevailing or marketable wage with an end goal of sustainable reintegration back to society..
