Harrison County
Harrison County is part of the Clarksburg Micropolitan Statistical Area and currently has a population of over 65,921 residents. Its county seat is Clarksburg and it was formed on May 3, 1784. Harrison county was partitioned from Monongalia County and named in honor of Benjamin Harrison V, a former Governor of Virginia and American painter.
