Garfield County
Garfield County covers a land area of approximately 1,059 square miles in the north-central part of Oklahoma. It was initially named O County in 1893 but was renamed in 1894 to honor James Abram Garfield, United States' 20th President. As of 2022, Garfield County is home to 62,456 people. Oklahoma's ninth most populous city, Enid, serves the county seat.
Garfield County has a District Court and several Municipal Courts. The District Court has general jurisdiction over all civil and criminal cases in Garfield County. It is organized into several divisions according to case types.
