Craig County
Craig County was organized in 1907, just before Oklahoma was admitted as the 46th U.S. state. It is named after a prominent Cherokee farmer, Granville Craig. As of the 2020 census, it has a population of 14,107. Craig County has a total land area measuring 761 square miles and an additional 1.4 square miles of water. Vinita is its seat of government and the largest city in the county by land area.
The court system in Craig County comprises district and municipal courts. Municipal courts try municipal ordinance violations including traffic, parking, environmental, and criminal ordinance violations. There are currently four municipal courts in the county:

- Ketchum Municipal Court
- Vinita Municipal Court
- Welch Municipal Court
The Craig County District Court is the court of general jurisdiction for civil and criminal cases. It hears criminal, civil, juvenile, probate, and family cases. It also hears appeals from municipal courts that are not of record.
