Tuscarawas County

Tuscarawas County is one of the 88 counties in the state of Ohio. It was formed in 1808 by European-American colonists from Muskingum County. The county seat is in New Philadelphia. The county has a population of about 93,263 and an area of 571 square miles.

Tuscarawas County is served by the Tuscarawas County Court of Common Pleas, the County Court, and the Municipal Court. The Court of Common Pleas, General Trial Division has countywide jurisdictions, resolving domestic complaints like divorce, custody, and domestic violence, civil actions like money judgments, civil stalking orders, personal injury, and felony criminal actions.
