Randolph Township Municipal Court (NJ) provides first-level judicial services to the public for minor offenses. It accepts filings and processes: traffic and parking tickets; DUI/DWI; municipal code/ordinance violations (noise, property, animal, health); disorderly and petty-disorderly persons offenses (simple assault, harassment, shoplifting, trespass); fish and game, and weights and measures. It issues summonses and warrants; schedules arraignments, pretrial conferences, motions, bench trials, and sentencing; manages fines, time-payment plans, and community service; provides interpreters and ADA accommodations; and supplies records (certified dispositions) and subpoenas. The court takes citizen complaints and conducts probable-cause reviews. Protective orders: municipal judges may issue emergency temporary restraining orders when the Superior Court Family Division is unavailable; final restraining orders are handled by Superior Court. Jury services are not provided; all trials are judge-only. The court facilitates remote or in-person appearances as noticed.
