Pettis County
Organized on January 27, 1833, Pettis County is located in the west-central part of Missouri. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a population of 43,530, with female residents comprising 49.9% of the total. It spans a total area of 686 square miles, and its county seat is Sedalia.
As a court of general jurisdiction, almost all civil and criminal legal matters are determined in the Pettis Circuit Court.
