McPherson County
Located in the east-central portion of Kansas, McPherson County is inhabited by 30,091 people. It was named after James B. McPherson, a general in the American Civil War. The county spans a total area of 573,440 acres, and its county seat is McPherson City.
The McPherson County District Court is the state trial court with general jurisdiction over all criminal and civil cases, such as probate and administration of estates, guardianships, divorce and domestic relations, damage suits, juvenile matters, small claims, conservatorship, and mental health proceedings.
