Hernando County

Hernando County, also known as Florida's Adventure Coast, is situated on the west central coast of Florida. It was named after a Spanish explorer, Hernando de Soto, and created on February 24, 1843. Hernando County has a population of over 194,515 residents and is known as the geographic center of Florida. Its county seat is Brooksville and its largest community is Spring Hill.
