The Ocean County Juvenile Detention center provides for the temporary care and treatment of juveniles in a physically restricting facility pending court disposition and to provide rehabilitative treatment to those juveniles sentenced to the facility under provisions of NJSA 2A:4A020 et seq.. The program at the center is designed to help each juvenile during the period of his/ her detention or commitment to develop into a more secure individual and to promote a positive transformation in the resident’s personal development that will aid him/her to return as a productive and socially adjusted member of the community.
