Laramie County
Laramie County was created in 1867 and named after Jacques La Ramee, a French-Canadian fur trader. It has a population of over 100,316 residents covering approximately 2,685.9 square miles by land mass. Laramie County is the state's most populous county and home to its capital, Cheyenne, which also serves as the county seat. The county is a central hub for government, economic, and cultural activities in Wyoming.
