Dodge County
Dodge County was created in 1836 from the Wisconsin Territory and fully organized in 1844. The county has an estimated population of 89,032 and covers a land area of 875.7 square miles. The county seat is located in the city of Juneau.
The Dodge County courts include a Circuit Court and Municipal Courts. The Circuit Court, divided into four branches, has jurisdiction over criminal and civil cases within Dodge County, including probate, juvenile, small claims ($10,000 or less), and traffic matters. Per Wisconsin Statute 800.14, the court may hear appeals from the Municipal Courts. In the County, Municipal Courts handle traffic and ordinance violations. They are found in Beaver Dam, Horicon, and the Town and City of Fox Lake.
