Rutland County
Rutland County was established in 1781 and named after John Manners, the 3rd Duke of Rutland. It encompasses 930.6 square miles of land and is the second-largest county in Vermont by total area, with over 60,572 residents as of the 2020 U.S. census. Rutland City serves as the county seat.
