Fauquier County
Established in 1759, Fauquier County was named after a former Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, Francis Fauquier. It is situated in the Northern part of Virginia. The county covers an estimated 651 square miles of land area, and its seat is located in Warrenton. According to the United States Census Bureau, the population of Fauquier County as of July 1, 2023, was 75,165. The judicial system in the county comprises a Circuit Court, a General District Court, and a Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
