Box Elder County
Box Elder County is the 4th largest county in Utah, occupying about 5,781 square miles of land in the state's northwestern region. It was created in 1856 through the Utah Territory legislature and named for the box elder tree, a type of maple that grows naturally in the area. As of 2022, Box Elder County is home to 58,291 residents. The county seat and most populous city is Brigham City.
