Parker County

Spanning 902 square miles of land in North Central Texas, Parker County was formed in 1856 and was named for Isaac Parker, the legislator who introduced the bill to create the county. Over 170,000 people inhabit the county, and the seat of government is Weatherford.

The Parker County court system incorporates various courts, including the County Probate Court, County Courts at Law, and District Courts, with varying jurisdictions. The County Probate Court presides over cases involving guardianships, probate of wills, and mental competency trials.
