Angelina County
Angelina County was founded in 1846 and is the only county in Texas named for a Hasinai Indian woman called Angelina. The county is known for its rich natural resources and vibrant forestry industry. It covers approximately 797.9 square miles of land, with Lufkin as the largest city and the county seat.
