Sevier County is located in the eastern region of Tennessee. It was established on September 18, 1794, and named in honor of Tennessee's first governor, John Sevier. The county covers approximately 593 square miles and shares boundaries with four other counties and an interstate. Its population is around 98,380, and its seat is the City of Sevierville.
