Established on March 20, 1849, Lawrence County derives its name from the flagship of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry. The county occupies an area measuring 363 square miles and is situated within the Greater Pittsburgh region of Pennsylvania. The population of Lawrence County is approximately 84,472 residents.
The Lawrence County Court of Common Pleas is a trial court with general jurisdiction, hearing both jury and non-jury proceedings.
