Merrimack County
Merrimack County is the third-most-populous county in New Hampshire. As of 2020, it was home to at least 153,808 residents. The founding of the county occurred in 1823 from sections of Rockingham and Hillsborough counties, and was given a name based on the Merrimack river. Its governmental seat is in Concord, and it sprawls across 956 square miles.
The county's court system comprises Superior and Circuit Courts. The Superior Court has jurisdiction over felonies and criminal cases eligible for a jury trial. It also hears civil cases valued above $25,000. The Circuit Court handles most misdemeanors, domestic violence cases, and civil claims below $25,000. Its jurisdiction also extends to cases related to the probate of wills, estate administration, and cases involving a minor.

Merrimack County courts allow interested persons to search for court records. A name-based search usually costs $20 for a request that includes up to five names. If the number of names to be searched exceeds five, then an additional cost of $5 per name will apply. Where the requester intends to download or make physical copies of the record, a $0.50 charge per page applies, and where a certified copy is requested, an additional $10 charge applies per document. Where the desired record is an archived record (records prior to 1992), then a manual search will be conducted. If the manual search exceeds one hour, an additional $25 charge will apply for each hour spent on the manual search.
