Alamance County

Alamance County was created in 1849 from parts of Orange County. It was named after the Great Alamance Creek, where the 1771 Battle of Alamance took place. The county has a land area of 424 square miles and is home to 171,415 residents. Its county seat is the City of Graham, while its most populous city is Burlington.
