Mower County
Mower County is located in southeastern Minnesota as part of the Austin Metropolitan Statistical Area. Austin, the county seat and largest city, is known as the "Spam Capital of the World" due to the Hormel Foods Corporation's headquarters. The county covers an area of approximately 711.3 square miles and has a population of around 40,082 residents as of 2022.
Mower County's judicial system is part of Minnesota's Third Judicial District, with the Mower County District Court as the sole trial court. This court has general jurisdiction over all civil and criminal cases. It is organized into specialized divisions to manage its caseload efficiently.
