Waldo County

Waldo County, Maine, is located in the southern region of Maine. The county was created in 1827 from Hancock County and named after Brigadier-General Samuel Waldo, the proprietor of Waldo Patent. It has a land area of about 724 square miles and a population of 39,607 (2020 US census). Belfast is its largest city and county seat.
