Oxford County
Oxford County is the sixth largest county in Maine, occupying a land area of 2,077 square miles. It was created in 1805 from parts of York and Cumberland County. As of 2022, the county is home to 58,276 residents. The county's most populous community is Rumford, while the county seat is Paris.
Oxford County has three trial courts: the Superior, District, and Probate Courts. The Superior Court handles all jury trials in Oxford County. It also has exclusive jurisdiction over felony-related crimes, equity cases, and appeals from state/local administrative agencies.
