Boone County
Boone County, Kentucky, was formed from parts of Campbell County in 1798. It shares a border with the Ohio River to the north and has a land area of about 246 square miles. Named in honor of Colonel Daniel Boone, the county is home to 136,000 residents, making it Kentucky's fourth-most populous county. Its county seat is Burlington.
