Cass County
Cass County was formed in 1828 by an Act of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana. The area encompasses 412.1 square miles and is inhabited by approximately 37,820 residents. The county seat is the City of Logansport.
Cass County Court's structure comprises a Circuit Court and a Superior Court. The Circuit Court handles domestic relations, juvenile, traffic infractions, ordinance violations, mental health, probate, felony, and civil cases. It hears jury trials except for small claims cases. The Superior Court deals with misdemeanor, civil, and small claims cases where the dispute is less than $6,000.
