Allen County
Allen County is the largest county in Indiana by land area. It has a land area of 657.31 square miles. As of the 2020 census, its population was 385,410. Its county seat is the city of Fort Wayne. Allen County is the third most populated county in Indiana.
The Allen County court system comprises circuit, superior, and city courts. City and town courts hear city ordinance violations and some misdemeanor cases. New Haven City Court is the only city and town court in the county. The Allen County Circuit Court hears traffic violations, civil cases, and levels five and six felonies. The circuit court also serves as an appellate court for city and town courts in Allen County.
The Allen County Superior Court handles all misdemeanors, levels one to four felonies, probate cases, juvenile delinquency cases, and small claims cases. It is also responsible for civil marriages, adoptions, workplace violence cases, and pretrial services.
