Ogle County

Founded in 1836, Ogle County is named in honor of Captain Joseph Ogle, a veteran of the Revolutionary War. The county is home to over 50,000 residents and has a land area of 758.65 square miles. Its government seat is Oregon.

Residents of Ogle County are served by the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court, which is the only trial court in the county. This court has broad authority over a wide variety of cases, except on matters heard exclusively by the Supreme Court.
