Morgan County
Morgan County was established in 1823 and named in honor of Daniel Morgan, an American soldier during the Pontiac War. The county has a land area of 572 square miles and a population of over 32,000 residents. Its county seat and largest city is Jacksonville.
Residents of Morgan County are served by a Circuit Court, the single trial court in the county.
