Henry County
Henry County is located in Northwestern Illinois. The county is approximately 16 miles from the Mississippi River separating Iowa and Illinois. Henry County was named for an orator and statesman of the Revolution period and Governor of Virginia - Patrick Henry. The county covers 823.21 square miles and is home to over 49,000 residents according to the 2020 decennial census.
Two circuit courts, in Cambridge and Kewanee, are the trial courts in Henry County. These courts have general jurisdiction in all civil and criminal cases, except for matters handled exclusively by the Court of Claims or the state supreme court.
