Fulton County
Fulton County was created in 1823 and was named after Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. The county spans approximately 865.7 total square miles and is known as the 10th largest overall among the counties within Illinois, with an estimated population of 33,609 residents. Lewistown serves as the administrative hub. The only court in Fulton County is the Circuit Court.
