Ada County
Established on December 22, 1864, Ada County is home to about a quarter of Idaho's population and is the state's largest county. Named after Ada Riggs, daughter of H.C. Riggs, an Idaho Territorial Legislator, Ada County covers 1054.99 square miles and includes Idaho's capital city - Boise.
The Ada County trial court system comprises District Courts and Magistrate Divisions. District Court cases primarily involve felonies but the court also hears civil cases in which the amount of money in dispute exceeds $10,000. The court also hears appeals from the state's magistrate courts. The Ada County District Court comprises Drug Courts, the Mental Health Court, and the Veterans Court .
Magistrate Courts in Ada County handle cases relating to infractions, misdemeanors, felony preliminary hearings, guardianships, probates, conservatorships, adoptions, divorces, termination of parental rights cases, juvenile cases, habeas corpus cases, and civil cases in which the amount of money in dispute is lower than $10,000.
Ada County public court records are documents of legal proceedings and decisions of courts located in the county. These records include court filings, judgments, orders, and transcripts. Once created, Ada County public court records are stored and maintained by the Ada County Clerk.The Clerk's Office is responsible for organizing, indexing, and preserving these records in compliance with state laws and regulations.

Ada County allows the public to search public court records online via the court request online service. Per Section 31-3201 of the Idaho code ,there is a $1 per page charge for records and a $1 per seal charge for certifications. You can search records by case or citation number, incident or arrest date, and defendant or party name. You may view the files in person or receive copies of the record requested by mail.
