Dallas County
Dallas County was established in 1847 by the Iowa Territory Legislative body. It occupies about 588.2 square miles of land and an estimated population of 100,367. The county's administrative headquarters is in Adel.
Dallas County features a unified trial court system, with the District Court as its only court. The District Court has jurisdiction over all civil, criminal, juvenile, probate, domestic relations, small claims (less than $6,500), traffic, and ordinance violation cases. The court also has specialty courts designed to address certain types of cases. These include the OWI Court and the Family Dependency Treatment Court.

Anyone may search Dalla County public court records online through the Iowa Courts Online Electronic Docket Record Search portal. Per Section 22.3 of the Iowa Code, requesters will pay a $0.50 fee per page to copy requested records. The public may also access court documents from public access computer terminals at the clerks' offices.
