Laurens County
With an area of about 812 square miles, Laurens County is located in the heart of Georgia. The county was founded in 1807 and was named after Colonel John Laurens, who was killed in battle in 1782. Laurence County is home to at least 50,000 people.
Laurens County has several courts serving the needs of its residents and businesses established within the county. The county's Magistrate Court exercises general jurisdiction in matters where the amount in controversy is up to $15,000, especially in contract disputes and personal injury suits.
