Colquitt County
Colquitt County, located in southern Georgia, was named after Walter Terry Colquitt, a former United States Senator from Georgia. It was established in 1856 and currently has a population of 45,813 residents. The county has a land area of 544 square miles, while its government seat is the City of Moultrie.
The trial courts in Colquitt County include the Superior, State, Juvenile, Probate, Magistrate, and Municipal Courts. Colquitt County's Superior Court is within the Southern Judicial Circuit of Georgia. It hears all felonies, civil equity cases, and real estate disputes.
