El Dorado County
Found in the east-central areas of the State of California, and encompassing 1,805 total square miles made of a blend of mountainous and hilly land. El Dorado County was one of California's original 27 counties. It was incorporated in February 1850 and has its seat in Placerville. El Dorado County has an approximate population of 190,000.

If you own any case numbers and want to access court records, you may submit a completed Form M-5 via a post service or by submitting it in person using the clerk at the courthouse. However, if you aren't the owner of a case document number, you may use the online case index portal or submit a completed Form M-6 through post or at the clerk's counter in person. Note that the online case index portal only details any cases filed in El Dorado County superior courts beyond the year 2000. For any case filed before 2000, you may have to look throughout each of the books managing the manual index. These books can be found at every court branch. Instead of searching yourself, you can submit a request to the location's clerk and pay a fee for information conveniently. If you're trying to find criminal-based court records, and you have specific case details, you must submit a completed Form M-55 through the post system, or at the clerk.
Note that it costs $15 for every record search or file that takes more than 10 minutes to locate. Documents cost $0.50 per page, while a certified copy of a court record costs $40 for each document and a copy fee.
